Frontier Ceramics opts against new expansion projects

Frontier Ceramics Limited has decided not to pursue any new expansion projects, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday. The Board of Directors, in its meeting on October 7, 2025, cited market saturation in the ceramics sector, noting that further investment in new projects is unlikely to yield adequate returns for shareholders.

As part of this decision, the company withdrew the Land Sale Agreement dated January 8, 2021, executed with the CEO for the purchase of 1,031 kanal of land in Massan DaudKhail, Mianwali, originally valued at Rs. 1.13 billion. An advance of Rs. 750.84 million had already been paid under the agreement.

Following discussions with the counterparty, it was mutually agreed that Rs. 200 million of the advance will be refunded by May 2026, while any remaining payment will be settled after June 30, 2026, pending further negotiations.

The Board has directed management to engage with the counterparty to reach a fair and transparent settlement, ensuring protection of the company’s financial and strategic interests.

Frontier Ceramics said the decision reflects its commitment to safeguarding shareholder value, optimizing capital allocation, and strengthening existing operations instead of pursuing growth in a saturated market. Shareholder approval will be sought at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Frontier Ceramics Limited was incorporated in July 1982 as Public Limited Company. The Principle activities of the company are manufacturing of ceramic tiles, sanitary wares and related cermic products.
