PPL secures conditional approval for mineral exploration license in Chagai

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has received conditional approval from the Government of Balochistan for an exploration license (EL-331) to explore precious and base metals and associated minerals in District Chagai, the company said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday.

According to the notice, the approval aligns with PPL’s strategy to diversify its operations beyond hydrocarbons and strengthen its presence in Pakistan’s mineral sector to ensure long-term business sustainability.

The company said the approval process will be finalised once all legal, regulatory, and procedural conditions are fulfilled.
