Pakistan, Türkiye pledge to deepen trade and investment cooperation

Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral trade and investment ties during a meeting between Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Turkish Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the COMCEC in Istanbul.

Both sides reviewed progress on ongoing economic initiatives and explored new avenues for cooperation in trade, industry, and investment. 

The Turkish minister expressed his country’s desire to strengthen economic engagement and said Türkiye would positively consider Pakistan’s proposals in upcoming trade negotiations.

Jam Kamal briefed his counterpart on Pakistan’s reforms to improve transparency and investor confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He said Pakistan offers growing opportunities for Turkish investors in multiple sectors.

Dr. Bolat invited the Pakistani minister to attend the Halal Expo in Istanbul on November 25, highlighting the potential for collaboration in halal trade and related industries.

The two ministers reiterated their commitment to further consolidating economic and trade relations, underscoring the shared goal of enhancing strategic and commercial partnerships between Pakistan and Türkiye.
