Air Link announces expansion plans with new production facility at Sundar Green SEZ, Lahore

Air Link Communication Limited (AIRLINK) has announced plans to expand its operations with the establishment of a state-of-the-art production facility at the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ) in Lahore.

In a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, the company said the new facility will cover eight acres, featuring 1.4 million sq. ft. of purpose-built infrastructure. Of this, three acres are owned by AIRLINK, while five acres belong to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Select Technologies (Pvt.) Limited.

The facility will incorporate a one-megawatt (MW) solar power generation system, which will reduce production costs, lower the company’s carbon footprint, and support long-term sustainable operations. Commercial operations are expected to begin by the end of 2025.

Operating within the SGSEZ framework, AIRLINK will benefit from ten years of fiscal incentives, boosting competitiveness and supporting long-term growth.

“In line with its strategic vision, the new facility is designed to support future exports of mobile phones, laptops, LED TVs, electronics, home appliances, and other high-tech products by international brands from Pakistan, reinforcing AIRLINK’s role in strengthening the country’s industrial and export base,” the company said.

AIRLINK has also expanded its retail presence by launching a Samsung MultiExperience Store at Dolmen Mall, Lahore. The flagship outlet offers Samsung mobile devices, accessories, and consumer electronics under one roof, providing a seamless and immersive shopping experience.

“These industrial and retail initiatives underscore AIRLINK’s commitment to expansion, sustainability, and brackly newsability, while positioning the company for long-term value creation and enhanced shareholder returns,” the filing added.
