The latest fortnightly report of the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA), released on Friday, shows that 2,686,307 bales have already undergone the ginning process.

Punjab contributed 1,136,439 bales, marking a 56.37 percent jump compared to 726,767 bales last year. Sindh led with 1,907,970 bales, an increase of 45.29 percent from 1,313,196 bales in the corresponding period. Balochistan accounted for 112,200 bales.

On the demand side, exporters and traders purchased 94,800 bales, while the textile sector acquired 2,409,678 bales. The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), however, did not procure any cotton in 2025-26, the report added.
