Customs Enforcement Panjgur seized 30 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, also known as ice, valued at Rs 450 million during an intelligence-based operation along the N-85 near Panjgur, said a statement.
The narcotics were found in 30 individually wrapped plastic bags hidden inside a vehicle. Acting on reliable intelligence, which indicated that the narcotics were being transported from Basima to the coastal belt, enforcement teams intercepted the silver Toyota Vitz near the Panjgur and Washuk District border.
Upon searching the vehicle, Customs officials discovered the drugs concealed in various compartments. The drugs, estimated to be worth Rs 450 million on the international market, were seized along with the Non-Customs Paid (NCP) vehicle, valued at Rs 2.5 million. Both the methamphetamine and the vehicle were taken into custody.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reiterated its commitment to combating narcotics smuggling, emphasizing its ongoing efforts to eliminate this societal threat.
