The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has registered 10,858 Tier-I retailers in its Point of Sales (POS) system as of December 2025, up from 10,562 in September, the authority said on Friday.
The addition of 296 retailers over the past two months includes 813 restaurants and 505 leather and textile outlets.
The FBR said the move is aimed at better documenting transactions of big retailers, particularly in the hospitality and retail sectors, to enhance compliance and transparency.
