Ghani Chemical sells 50,000 shares in associated company Ghani ChemWorld

Ghani Chemical Industries Limited has announced the sale of its 50,000 ordinary shares in Ghani ChemWorld Limited (GCWL), an associated company, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

The company stated that the divestment followed approval from shareholders at its Annual General Meeting held on October 28, 2025.

The notice read, “GCIL has disinvested/sold out 50,000 ordinary shares of Ghani ChemWorld Limited (GCWL/an associated Company) at Rs18.40/share (prevailing market rate), to the directors of the Company on November 10, 2025.”

The sale was made to the company’s directors at the current market rate. Ghani Chemical added that the move was in line with the authorisation granted by shareholders and relevant regulatory requirements.

The company requested that the Exchange inform TRE certificate holders accordingly.

Ghani Chemical Industries Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as a private limited company on November 23, 2015, under the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now the Companies Act, 2017), and was converted into a public limited company on April 20, 2017. The company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing, sale, and trading of medical and industrial gases and chemicals.

Ghani ChemWorld Limited, the associated company in which the disinvestment took place, was formed pursuant to a Scheme of Arrangement under which the complete business and undertaking of the Calcium Carbide Project of Ghani Chemical Industries Limited was transferred into GCWL. The scheme was sanctioned by the Lahore High Court through an order dated February 20, 2025.
