IHC division bench halts order to dissolve Capital Development Authority

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Division Bench on Thursday suspended a single bench’s order directing the dissolution of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The two-member bench, comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas, issued a written order staying implementation of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani’s June 19 decision.

The suspension will remain in effect while the intra-court appeal against the single bench’s ruling is heard. The court adjourned further proceedings until the second week of December.

Justice Kayani had earlier directed authorities to begin the process of dissolving the CDA.
