RAWALPINDI: Incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is expected to be transferred from Adiala Jail following the verdict in the Toshakhana-II case, sources told Brackly News on Monday.

The sources said that a special jail has been prepared for Khan in Rawalpindi’s Qasim Market area, with all arrangements and legal formalities finalised. His wife, Bushra Bibi, is also likely to be shifted to the same facility.

The responsibility of the jail has been assigned to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prison, while around 40 staff members from Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum jails have been transferred to Rawalpindi for this purpose.

The sources added that the 40-member prison staff has been stationed at the special jail since July 31.

DIG Prisons Rawalpindi Region Rana Rauf has issued the notification for the staff transfer.

A complete security and monitoring mechanism has also been put in place, with the 40-member staff deployed at the special jail around the clock, the sources added.

This is a developing story and is being updated with further details.
