Shehbaz urges beef export push as Pakistan, Malaysia explore trade expansion

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday directed the concerned institutions to formulate a practical and robust plan for boosting exports to Malaysia, with a particular focus on Pakistani beef.

Chairing a meeting via video link from New York on the promotion of bilateral trade, the prime minister received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s export potential in the Malaysian market. The session carried out a detailed review of existing trade ties between the two countries.

The prime minister noted that Pakistan and Malaysia enjoyed longstanding fraternal relations spanning decades, stressing that Malaysia had always stood by Pakistan in times of difficulty, a gesture Islamabad held in high regard.

He emphasized that there was immense potential for trade between the two countries and underscored the need for concrete steps to capitalize on available opportunities.
