Brackly Group announces its ambitious carbon neutrality roadmap for 2030

Brackly Group of Companies has unveiled its bold Sustainability Pledge 2030, a comprehensive roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality across all manufacturing units by the year 2030. The announcement, made on January 18, 2026, reaffirms the Group’s dedication to environmental stewardship, renewable energy adoption, and circular economy principles.

A Transformative Commitment

The pledge encompasses all production facilities under Brackly’s subsidiaries, including textile mills, construction material plants, technology hardware assembly lines, and export processing zones. Key targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 65% by 2028 (from a 2023 baseline) and offsetting the remaining through verified carbon credits and nature‑based solutions. Brackly also commits to 100% renewable electricity for its manufacturing sites by 2027, leveraging solar, wind, and biomass investments.

Leadership Remarks

Muhammad Ibrahim Anwer Baig, Group CEO & MD, stated: “Sustainability is not an option – it is our responsibility toward future generations. With the Sustainability Pledge 2030, Brackly is embedding green practices into our DNA. From energy‑efficient looms to zero‑liquid discharge systems, every decision we make will be measured against our carbon neutrality goal. This is our contribution to a healthier planet and a more resilient business.”

Environmental Impact: “If implemented successfully, Brackly’s plan could reduce annual CO₂ emissions by over 120,000 metric tonnes by 2030, equivalent to removing 26,000 cars from the road.” – Independent Climate Analyst

Key Pillars of the Pledge

  • Renewable energy transition – installation of 50 MW solar capacity across major industrial sites by 2028.
  • ♻️ Circular manufacturing – achieving 95% waste recycling and zero waste to landfill by 2029.
  • 💧 Water positivity – replenishing more freshwater than consumed through rainwater harvesting and treatment plants.
  • 🌳 Afforestation partnerships – planting 500,000 native trees in collaboration with Brackly Foundation.
  • 📊 Transparent reporting – annual sustainability disclosures aligned with GRI and TCFD frameworks.

As part of the initiative, Brackly AI Hub will develop an AI‑powered carbon management platform to monitor real‑time emissions across all subsidiaries. The platform will be open‑sourced to small and medium enterprises in Pakistan, amplifying the pledge’s impact beyond Brackly’s operations.

Brackly also invites its suppliers and logistics partners to join the “Green Value Chain Program”, offering incentives for adopting low‑carbon technologies. The first partner summit is scheduled for June 2026.
