Sustainability
At Brackly Group of Companies (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we believe that true success is measured not only by growth and innovation but also by the positive impact we have on our planet and society. Our Sustainability Pledge 2030 represents an unwavering commitment to integrate environmental responsibility into every layer of our operations from manufacturing floors to digital interfaces, from our supply chains to our partnerships.
We recognise that the climate crisis is one of the most urgent challenges of our time, and that businesses have a critical role to play in accelerating the transition to a low‑carbon, regenerative future. This page explains our vision, our concrete actions, the legal frameworks that guide us, and how you can join us on this journey.
Digital Sustainability
Brackly Group recognises digital sustainability as an integral component of our overarching approach to sustainability. We operate multiple corporate websites, portals and digital platforms across our subsidiaries. Each one has a digital carbon footprint from the energy used to host them and upload their text, videos and imagery. We are continually striving to reduce their environmental impact to make them more digitally sustainable, whilst still providing our users, partners and customers with an unparalleled experience.
Our Approach to Digital Sustainability
We have audited pages from websites across our network to understand their impact and worked to optimise them to ensure they are as sustainable, accessible and user‑friendly as possible. For example:
- ✅ We have switched to green hosting providers the energy that runs their data centres and hosts our sites is generated from clean, sustainable sources such as wind, solar, and hydro power.
- ✅ We have reduced the energy load of our images by saving them in energy‑efficient formats such as SVG and WebP that do not compromise on image quality.
- ✅ We have added a play/pause button to all our videos. Where possible, we are working to replace videos with animations, illustrations, and static images.
- ✅ We have trained our teams on the best practices of sustainable web design to ensure our designers, developers, and product managers embrace a sustainability‑first design thinking.
- ✅ We work to a target budget of 1.5 megabytes per page (the global average is 2.4 megabytes) to improve accessibility and ensure every asset adds value to our user experience.
How Sustainable is Our Website?
As well as adhering to sustainable web design principles to reduce the energy used by individual pages, we have worked to ensure our sites are accessible and usable, so people do not waste energy navigating barriers and inefficiencies. Our sites currently comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA and have been tested using the internationally recognised methodology for calculating digital carbon emissions.
Our Operational Sustainability Goals
Our commitment extends far beyond our digital footprint. The Brackly Group Sustainability Pledge 2030 sets out ambitious, measurable targets across our physical operations from manufacturing and logistics to construction and AI infrastructure.

Legal Framework in Pakistan
Brackly Group operates in full alignment with Pakistan’s evolving environmental and climate laws. Our sustainability strategy is informed by national commitments and regulatory milestones, including:
- 🇵🇰 Pakistan’s Third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) (submitted to UNFCCC in September 2025), which commits to a 50% economy‑wide reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 compared to business‑as‑usual 17% unconditional from domestic resources and 33% conditional on international grant finance.
- 🇵🇰 The Islamabad Capital Territory (Prohibition of Plastic Book Covers) Bill, 2026, a landmark step against single‑use plastics reflecting a national momentum that we actively support across all Brackly subsidiaries.
- 🇵🇰 The Prime Minister’s directive to transition to renewable sources such as hydro, solar and biogas, with a national target of 60% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030.
- 🇵🇰 The SECP‑IFC ESG Pakistan Project, which integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance principles into Pakistan’s corporate sector we are proud to be among the early adopters of this framework.
- 🇵🇰 The proposed CSR Bill (2025), which emphasises the integration of social and environmental initiatives into corporate governance a direction we have already embedded into our governance model.
We are committed to complying with all applicable laws in Pakistan and will update our practices as the legal framework evolves. Where national regulations are still developing, we hold ourselves to the highest international standards including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Agreement, and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
What We Are Currently Working On
Our sustainability journey is never finished. We are under constant review to improve our digital and operational footprint. Current focus areas include:
- 🔧 Eliminating autoplay videos across all our platforms we know video autoplay is energy intensive, and we are migrating to click‑to‑play and static alternatives.
- 📈 Improving the SEO of our content to reduce the energy load required for users to find the information that best fits their needs.
- 🌿 Launching the “Green Value Chain Program” for our suppliers and logistics partners, offering incentives for low‑carbon technologies, with the first partner summit scheduled for June 2026.
- ⚡ Completing the deployment of AI‑powered carbon management platform by Brackly AI Hub, which will be open‑sourced to Pakistani SMEs to amplify our impact.
- 📊 Piloting a dark/light mode theme switch across all websites to allow users to choose energy‑saving dark mode by default.
