Civil Engineer

Al-Anwar Builders is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensure technical compliance, and support the successful execution of building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, site supervision, quality control, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites
✔ Review construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents
✔ Ensure construction work is completed according to approved drawings, designs, specifications, and schedules
✔ Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams
✔ Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction processes
✔ Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical or construction-related issues
✔ Prepare and maintain site reports, progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation
✔ Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines and budgets
✔ Verify quantities, measurements, and completed works for billing and project documentation
✔ Coordinate material requirements and ensure appropriate resources are available at the site
✔ Identify construction risks and recommend practical technical solutions
✔ Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and construction standards
✔ Conduct quality inspections and support testing of construction materials and works
✔ Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to resolve project issues
✔ Assist project management with planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring
✔ Ensure proper execution of structural, finishing, and civil works according to project requirements

Requirements

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
✅ Minimum 2–4 years of experience in construction, site engineering, or a related role
✅ Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, structural and civil works
✅ Experience in site supervision, quality control, quantity estimation, and project coordination
✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and BOQs
✅ Familiarity with AutoCAD and relevant civil engineering/project management software
✅ Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards
✅ Good knowledge of project scheduling, measurements, and construction documentation
✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
✅ Excellent communication and coordination abilities
✅ Ability to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams
✅ Willingness to work on-site and manage construction activities in a demanding environment
✅ Professional attitude, integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail
